When Genova Padres, facilities manager of Atkins Library, found out that many students would often nap in their cars or random places across campus she became extremely upset.  Part of the library’s mission is to be a provider of spaces, services and technologies, so the idea of Niner Nap Pods was born.

Niner Nap Pods recently opened with 100 individual nap pods monitored by a check-in agent and security cameras. Students now have the perfect spot to rest during the day while on UNC Charlotte's main campus.
